Built slowly, by hand

The land was a coconut grove on the edge of the river. We kept as many trees as we could and shaped the houses around them, working with carpenters and stone carvers from Gianyar.

Everything you see is made nearby: teak from reclaimed houses, terrazzo poured on site, alang-alang thatch replaced by hand every few years.

Our team cooks breakfast each morning, keeps the garden, and can arrange a driver, a massage, a cooking class or a temple ceremony if you would like one.
